RED LIGHT THERAPY

RED light therapy is characterized by infrared light, which is a unique type of light that has a stronger wavelength than other types of light. This enables it to penetrate deeper into the skin and provide many therapeutic benefits including improvement in the skinís appearance and structure as well as relief from pain.  There is NO UV light associated with RED light therapy. RED light therapy is able to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and skin problems such as acne.  Infrared light also stimulates the production of ATP, an essential energy source used in body tissues that promotes rapid healing. This type of light therapy has become a breakthrough treatment because unlike cosmetic surgery, red light therapy is non invasive, cost-effective, and risk-free alternative to improving skinís appearance.  Similar to the Sun, infrared light provides a warming effect on the skin,  but without the presence of UV Rays.   Recommended therapy schedules are 3-4 days per week, 20-minute sessions, for 60-days.  After the initial treatment schedule, it is recommended to continue 1-2 days per week, also for 20-minute sessions.  With no damaging effects, only positive results, RED light therapy is a great way to improve your appearance and health. Red Light Therapy for Healing Originally discovered by NASA for providing relief from chronic and acute pain including muscle pain, joint pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, tissue and nerve damage, and can decrease injury healing time, RED light therapy is now used by professional athletes to promote healing with powerful results. Infrared light penetrates below the surface of skin to speed up healing time. Red light has the ability to stimulate the production of ATP, an important source of energy in body tissues. This allows ATP to promote rapid action by the bodyís defenses. ATP helps to increase blood circulation, which reduces swelling and inflammation. Increased blood circulation can benefit those with high blood pressure because good circulation allows the heart to do less work. Red light activated ATP stimulates white blood cells that work to repair damaged tissues, and increases collagen production that builds elasticity in the skin and can aid in wound healing. ATP also activates endorphins that provide soothing relief from chronic and acute pain. RED Light Therapy Lamps have been used for years to help with many skin conditions including but not limited to: - Healing Blemishes on the Skin, While Improving Skin Tone - Fade Scarring, Stretch Marks, and Surgical Wounds - Reduces Fine Lines and Wrinkles on the Face Around the Eyes and Mouth - Increases and Encourages Blood Circulation to the Skin   - Regenerates and Stimulates Fibroblast Cells-Look Younger - Creates Smoother More Supple Skin Tone   ĎRed light easily penetrates the dermis and can help with a variety of skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea, scarring and eczema, as well as improving skin quality,í says Jo Martin, clinical director of Mapperley Park Clinic and an expert in light therapy and laser treatments.  Red Light Therapy is a safe and all-natural, non-invasive process that encourages your body to product enzymes, elastin fibers, and collagen that support the skinís structure, producing younger, smoother, firmer-feeling skin. It repairs damaged skin, kills bacteria to fight acne, reduces pore size, dramatically reduces fine lines and wrinkles, relieves joint pain, reduces scars and stretch marks, evens out pigmentation, and much more. Infrared Light Technology has been extensively researched and used by NASA, the Mayo Clinic, the US Military, and National Health. Red Light Therapy Benefits: - Makes your skin look and feel younger - Dramatically reduce fine lines and wrinkles - Firms & tones skin - Reduces redness and flushing - Promotes collagen production for plumper, more youthful skin - Evens out pigmentation - Smoothes skin texture - Increased radiance (photo-therapy glow) - Helps alleviate acne by killing the bacteria that causes acne - Lessens pore size - Helps eliminate stretch marks in most clients - Helps damaged skin heal up to 200% faster - Reduces scarring - Relieves joint pain - Increases circulation The initial effect is clearer, brighter, tighter feeling skin. The long-term effect is improved skin clarity, tone, and texture. Fine lines & wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark circles as well as puffiness around the eyes is reduced, while the effects of environmental damage and chronological aging are minimized. Over time, the red light therapy will help restore tired-looking skin, decrease fine lines & wrinkles, diminish freckles, reduce age spots, clear acne, even out pigmentation, minimize facial pores, improve the appearance of weathered skin, and stimulate collagen synthesis which will improve the skinís support structure. Discontinuing the red light therapy treatments typically results in the gradual l oss of results over time. Red light penetrates the skin to a depth of 8-10mm, delivering energy to stimulate a response from the body to heal itself. The FDA has given red light a ďnon-significant riskĒ status and declared it safe for the eyes. Red Light Therapy is one of the few-non-invasive tools available that can reverse the appearance of aging in skin. Do not use Red Light Therapy if you are photo-allergic, or take medications that make you light sensitive; suffer from porphyria; or take cortisone or steroid injections. This procedure is generally for healthy people. Persons with any severe life-threatening disease, epilepsy, photophobia or who are pregnant are not candidates for this treatment. If possible, light sensitive medications should be avoided while undergoing light therapy. Caution should be used for persons with diabetes, sensitive, or damaged skin i.e. burned, skin graphed, tattoo removed, previously lasered or resurfaced skin.
